This custom outdoor living project was part of a new construction home in the North Park Manor Development, built by Barrington Homes. Located on a cul-de-sac with a compact rear yard, the property initially presented significant design challenges due to limited usable space and steep slopes.

The Homeowner's Vision
The clients envisioned a luxurious outdoor environment with spa resort vibes. Our design team took this vision and crafted a plan that turned a once-unusable yard into a multi-functional, serene retreat.
Project Highlights
- Outdoor Sauna & Cold Plunge: At the heart of the design, these spa-inspired features created a tranquil wellness space.
- Multi-Level Waterfall: We capitalized on the natural slope behind the driveway to install a large cascading waterfall, providing both a visual and auditory focal point.
- Expanded Lawn Area: Working closely with the builder, we imported multiple loads of fill to extend the backyard, creating a safe and open play area for children.
- Upper Yard Living Space: Installed modern pavers and synthetic turf to form a clean, low-maintenance lounging area.
- Lower Yard Lawn: A natural lawn area was installed, reserved for a future pool installation.
- Front Yard Curb Appeal: Seasonal landscaping with vibrant colors and textures added year-round interest. A saltwater feature, visible from the front porch and entryway, became a striking design element.
Design Style
The landscape design was tailored to match the home’s modern farmhouse architecture, blending sleek lines with rustic charm to create a cohesive and visually appealing aesthetic.

The biggest hurdle was maximizing functionality in a small, sloped lot. Our creative design team strategically utilized every square foot to deliver a high-end outdoor living space without compromising open lawn areas for children.
